Anthony J. DiGuiseppe AIA RIBA is President and CEO of DiGuiseppe Architect, an International Hotel and Resort Design firm. He is a Registered Architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects since 1985, as well as a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and serves as a Commissioner for the Historical Preservation Commission in Marbletown, New York. Mr. DiGuiseppe attended the United States Naval Academy for Naval Architecture and Analytical Management; he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Architecture from City College of New York.
Mr. DiGuiseppe founded his design firm in 1984 in New York City, and has studios in Boca Raton and Upstate New York. His architecture and interior design work has been published extensively in the United States, the Caribbean and Great Britain. He has spoken at conferences for the hospitality industry; the Lodging Conference in Phoenix, IMN panels in New York, Miami, and Las Vegas on Condo Hotels. He has won numerous furniture design awards including the coveted Roscoe Award and first prize in the Davis Furniture Competition. His entry for the redesign of Piazzale Roma has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale.
Mr. DiGuiseppe design work has run the gamut from Retail to Public Architecture; his concentration for the past ten years has been in hospitality, historical and residential design. He believes that the upscale and well traveled lodging guest now ask for lifestyle environments and want these living environments to resemble and reflect design aspects of 4 and 5 star hotel experiences, and in turn, hotel owners want their hotels to project a more residential feeling that is environmentally conscious and complimentary to their guests lifestyles. Mr. DiGuiseppe is well versed and understands the interrelated aspects of the financial, operational and marketing components of the hotel business. He believes that in order for a project to be a successful design it must be profitable for the developer. His recent hospitality projects include hotels, condo hotels and fractional residences such as the Providence Biltmore Hotel, The Troutbeck Resort and Conference Center, The Ellington Hotel with Condominiums with the Grove Park Inn, the Emerson Resort & Spa. Old Bahama Bay Resort and Marina, The Niagara Falls Crowne Plaza , The Nevele Hotel and Resort, Windam Ski Hotel and Residences, Jaco Beach Condo Hotel & Resort in Costa Rica, a resort in Sint Maarten, as well as two boutique properties in Chicago.
