Maureen Herron is Executive Director of MH-Global Communications Network, a full-service marketing, communications and public relations business specializing in tourism, the arts, health/wellness, education and business at the local, state, national and international levels.
A seasoned educator, marketing and communications professional, Herron is a long-time resident of the State of Arizona. Boutique representation for clientele representative of the hospitality industry currently includes architecture and interior design, international property management and marketing, food and beverage and editorial venues.

Clients include: Investors Hospitality Management, Bella Palazzo, and Creative Hands Cuisine. She assisted Eleven Wireless with the launching of its newest product, ElevenBC, at the International Hotel Motel & Restaurant Show in New York City. Associate Editor for Hotel Interactive under her pen name, Marion Edward Ms. Herron is also a member of AH&LA’s Women in Lodging, Herron serves as Editor of the IHM’s Journal of Stewardship with Sustainability™ and Hospitality Performance’s Portfolio of Partners as well as inaugural member of IHM’s Global Alliance of Stewardship with Sustainability.

In addition to earning her Master of Arts in Teaching degree through a scholarship to study at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, Herron pursued her interests in the arts and culture by doing post-graduate work at Exeter College of Oxford University, Oxford, England during which term she specialized in Renaissance history, literature and art. Thereafter, she studied at the University of Grenoble, and Lincoln Center Institute (in association with Columbia University) and traveled internationally for a number of years documenting both educational and hospitality venues.

Prior to establishing her business, Herron worked as a consultant on behalf of the Japan National Tourist Organization, wrote the script for Hyatt International’s Century Hyatt hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo; received a grant from the Hoso Bunka Foundation (NHK/Japan) to analyze people’s attitudes toward crime in Japan and the United States with specific reference to the cities of Tokyo and Philadelphia; and wrote the script for the full-length travelogue, "Tokyo: the Asian Phoenix" by interviewing many of Japan’s traditional artists as well as researching this complex culture for two and a half years.

During a ten-year relationship with a leading southwest resort in Arizona, Herron applied her expertise of relationships with Japanese media to garner the HSMAI Golden Bell award for "Marketing to the Consumer" through 11 trips to Japan, and secure editorial coverage from Japanese editors and tourism professionals, to reach over 22 million Japanese readers/TV viewers during a one-year period with a budget of $30,000. During this tenure, Herron orchestrated strategic alliances with the governmental tourism offices of such countries as Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Singapore, Japan, France, etc. to design a comprehensive and authentic series of cuisine experiences, "Taste on Tour". Personally, under her pen name, Marion Edward, Herron authored several articles for Culinary Trends, arranged coverage for Restaurants & Institutions, Food Arts, and worked with CIA of Hyde Park in collaborative projects. Herron has traveled extensively throughout Mexico and worked with Sister Cities, student exchange, journalist visits and educational training. She has been a frequent guest of Maison de la France on press trips and engaged in frequent international travel assignments.

Serving the hospitality industry from within and without; the arts community as journalist, professional and volunteer; and education as instructor and mentor of credited internship programs, Maureen and MH-Global Communications Network are committed to the principles of global citizenship, mentoring of youth and continued exploration of journalist’s standards. Business development assistance to the non-profit sector is a continued commitment, and Herron is a certified grants writer having received her training from The Grantsmanship Center.
